Farm*A*Syst/Home*A*Syst: Pollution Prevention for farms and homes
This site contains the latest information on preventing
pollution on farms and in homes. Online newsletters keep
you in touch with current developments. Slide training
programs take you step-by-step through such topics as
protecting drinking water wells, liability protection and
confidentiality.
Farm*A*Syst educates farmers about agricultural pollution
prevention), provides environmental assessment tools, and
supports voluntary action. The program uses worksheets
that evaluate pollution risks from facilities and
practices on farms and ranches and then recommend actions
to prevent contamination by toxics, microgranisms and
nitrates. A simplier assessment, Home*A*Syst helps
homeowners evaluate environmental risks in and their
homes.
